Welcome to seminar!
When: 14th April 2026, 10-14h
Where: Norway House, Rue Archimède 17
Universities and higher education institutions are facing increasing political pressure in a time marked by geopolitical instability, polarization, and debates around trust in research-based knowledge. How are these developments affecting universities in practice? And what role can higher education play in strengthening democratic resilience, while safeguarding academic freedom and scholarly independence?
On 14 April, NorCore and the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Skills (HK-dir) invite to a seminar at Norway House in Brussels (Rue Archimède 17). We will present new knowledge, including insights from an ongoing study carried out by HK-dir, and bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners for keynotes, a panel discussion, and open exchange of perspectives.
